The Jewish Medical Association (UK) combines several previous Jewish Medical groups in the UK, including the former British Chapter of the Israel Medical Association and the London Jewish Medical Society.
Jewish Medical Association (UK) was formed to serve as an umbrella organisation for all Jewish health professionals in the UK. Since our launch in 2007, JMA(UK) has taken on a variety of responsibilities, relating both to local medical educational matters and to facilitating and developing medical connections with Israel.
The Jewish Medical Assoication (UK)’s mission statement summarises our charitable aims:
- Providing social and educational activities for Jewish healthcare students and health professionals in the United Kingdom
- Providing linkage to Israeli health institutions
- Providing a public forum for the discussion of Jewish issues in medicine and healthcare in the United Kingdom.
