Visiting Israeli Colorectal Surgeons

Prof Alex Deutsch has arranged for ten Israeli Colorectal Surgeons to visit the UK in March 2018. The visit has been supported by the Israel, Britain and the Commonwealth Association – John Furman Fund; and by the David Yanir Foundation for the Advancement of Colorectal Surgery in Israel.

Dr Meir Zemel (Sourasky-Ichilov Medical Centre, Tel Aviv)

During the visit they will be the guests of Mr Richard Cohen (University College London Hospital), Mr Joseph Nunoo-Mensah (Kings College Hospital) and Mr Andrew Williams (St Thomas’s Hospital), and will be attending a course at Basingstoke Hospital.

On Monday 5th March 2018 the Association will host a reception for the group from19:00-30 in the South Cloisters, University College London, Gower St., London WC1E6BT

This will be followed at 19:30 by a symposium in the Gavin de Beer Lecture Theatre, Anatomy Building, University College London, Gower St., London WC1E6B.

The topic to be discussed at the symposium is “Ulcerative Colitis 2018”. Prof Irving Taylor will take the Chair and participants will include: Dr Sara McCartney (Medical Aspects) and Mr Richard Cohen (Surgical Aspects). Case studies presented by the visiting surgeons. Prof Alex Deutsch will summarise at the end of the meeting.
