An International conference on the theme of “Founder Populations and their contributions to our understanding of Biology and History – lessons from the Jewish Genome” took place in Haifa from 10th – 14th July 2016. The meeting wasorganised by Prof Gad Rennert of the Technion and Carmel Medical Centre. British participants speaking at this meeting were Lord Winston, Prof Michael Baum, Sir Walter Bodmer and Dr Ian Ellis.
