Herzog Hospital
The Sarah Herzog Memorial Hospital is one of the oldest hospitals in Jerusalem, founded in 1894. It is best known for treating people with chronic conditions. Established geriatric, chronic respiratory disease and mental health units have recently been supplemented by a rehabilitation unit which handles stroke victims. The hospital aims to provide a combination of best medical technology with professional expertise, compassion and care. The Israel Centre for Treatment of Psychotrauma is based at the hospital and handles a wide spectrum of problems, including not only those affected by the missile attacks in Sderot, but also Ethiopians who have had difficulties coping with immigration.
